Job description

Excellent opportunity for an Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join a Specialist Rail Contractor on a Permanent basis in London. The Engineer will be time served and experienced in all aspects of building services and HVAC and be confident in working on varied equipment. The ideal candidate, will have previous experience working on Network Rail projects.
 
 
Location: Greater London (inside the M25) - the candidate will be required to travel
 
Sites include: signal centres, data centres, maintenance depots, train care depots, stations, remote relay rooms trackside.
 
Salary: £23-34kpa

- Overtime available, paid at time and a half, or double time for nights/bank holidays
- All specialist refrigeration tools are supplied, but hand tools are the responsibility of the candidate. Hand tools include thermometer and multimeter amp clamp.
- Training and competencies will be given for the railway working as this is essential
 
Role & Responsibilities:
 
- Assist and contribute to the service department's daily operation.
- Participate in assigned long-term contracts, programs and projects.
- Be directly involved in the work delivery department's routine operations by carrying out works and completing the associated administrative duties.
- Perform on site duties as required.
 - Provide information to enable administrators to prepare quotations for a variety of work.
 - Will be required to read, understand and adhere to relevant safety documentation for engineers as required.
- Exercise F-GAS training to a high standard on a daily basis.
- Develop and maintain effective working relations with Service director and work closely with the service director toward common goals. This includes all supervisors and managers.
 - Work to the company's management and quality systems.
- Advise on equipment, materials and resources required for remedial and PPM works.
 - Work on their own skills to always improve and keep current with the industry. They will take part in (CPD) continual professional development.
 
 
This role requires a MINIMUM of city and guilds NVQ level 2/part 2 in commercial air conditioning & refrigeration, plus F-GAS. Other competencies like SMSTS, SSSTS, PASMA & IPAF are an advantage.
