James Fernandes is the Managing Director and co-founder of Carrington West where he is responsible for implementing the vision for the business, the development of the management team and driving growth. James is a passionate recruitment leader whose driving force is to create an outstanding working environment where all employees are able to progress in their careers, be healthy and happy at work and deliver best in class recruitment services to clients and candidates.
Under James’s leadership, Carrington West and many of its consultants have won numerous recruitment industry and business excellence awards. His focus on creating a culture of learning and development extends beyond individual’s careers to include the continual evolution and improvement of company and industry best practices.
Prior to co-founding Carrington West, James gained experience an international technical recruiter where he started as a trainee consultant before being promoted 3 times within 7 years to hold leadership roles. James is an MREC Cert RP, holds a BSc in Engineering & Business Management from the University of Greenwich and in his spare time he enjoys snowboarding, golf and travelling.
