3 Carrington West Directors have volunteered to give up their warm bed and hot shower for one night to help raise vital funds and awareness to combat poverty and homelessness in Portsmouth. Right now, in Portsmouth somebody is thinking about where they are going to sleep tonight.
Homelessness is not a choice, and every person hit by extreme poverty has a story to tell. Simon Gardiner, James Fernandes and Nick Rowe are looking to raise funds as part of “CEOSleepout”. A Justgiving page has been set up and explains the details:
“I’d like to ask your fundraising support when James Fernandes, Nick Rowe and me take part in a charity event with a difference. On April 16th 2018 we will be giving up our warm bed, electric blanket and teasmade and will be sleeping out under the stars. This is to raise money and awareness for local homeless charities, in #CEOSleepoutPortsmouth. If you are able to donate and sponsor us, it will be going direct to this great cause.
This amazing event is part of CEO Sleepout, a charity that challenges business leaders to sleep rough for a night to help make Portsmouth a fairer place to live and work.”
