I have a new opportunity for a Gateman to join my clients Cambridgeshire Projects delivery team who are responsible for delivering a wide variety of exciting highway projects throughout Cambridgeshire.
 
Job Description:
 
- Control access to the construction site, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles enter.
- Carrying out any other associated works as required by the Works Manager
- Perform routine checks on incoming and outgoing vehicles to maintain site security.
- Issue passes and maintain accurate records of personnel and vehicle movements.
- Communicate effectively with site staff and delivery personnel.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site.
- Assist with the general upkeep and cleanliness of the site entrance area.
 
Essential Skills:
 
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- CSCS card or relevant certification.
- Traffic Management qualification would be advantageous.
- Safety Critical.
 
Desirable Skills:
 
- Proven experience as a Gateman, preferably in a highways construction environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with site personnel and visitors.
- Vigilant and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on site security and safety.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
